The BBC have reported today that UK investors who lost money when the Spanish property market collapsed may be entitled to get their deposits back. The Supreme Court in Spain has ruled that banks should repay investors for the deposits they paid for homes which were sold off-plan. Sources believe that up to 100,000 investors in the United Kingdom could be affected by this judgment. It is estimated that this repayment could amount to as much as £20,000 per investor.
However, UK investors are encouraged to obtain expert legal advice before submitting a claim as they can only be submitted once under Spanish Law.
