We are delighted to confirm that we were recently invited to the launch of Age NI on the 26 March 2010, the new charity combining Age Concern NI and Help the Aged in Northern Ireland.
Jenny Mathews from our office attended the event at Belfast City Hall which was also attended by a wide group of individuals, public and private sector representatives.The event aimed to celebrate the work of the two legacy charities Age Concern NI and Help the Aged in Northern Ireland and welcome the new charity, Age NI.Age NI endeavours to provide a stronger voice and source of support for older people in Northern Ireland.As a combined charity they have approximately 220 staff and 1,000 volunteers.
Anne O’Reilly, CEO of Age NI, described their vision “to create a world in which older people flourish”.Gerry Kelly MLA described the new charity as “a valuable resource with a wealth of experience and knowledge”.
